About GMK Pro Service LLC

A flooring and tile company built around written scopes

GMK Pro Service LLC works out of Kenner, Louisiana, installing flooring, porcelain, backsplashes and custom showers, and handling the pressure washing and post-construction cleaning that projects around here tend to need alongside them.

Our story

What we do, and what we leave alone

What we do and where

We are a flooring and tile company first. Porcelain and ceramic, natural stone, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, backsplashes, custom showers and the transitions between them. Alongside that we run exterior pressure washing and post-construction cleaning, because those are the two services our own projects kept needing and because the equipment and the crews overlap cleanly.

Our base is Kenner and we work across Jefferson Parish and Greater New Orleans: Metairie, Harahan, River Ridge, New Orleans, Elmwood, Westwego, Gretna, Marrero and out toward Destrehan. Staying inside that radius is deliberate. It means we can be back on a job the next morning if something needs attention.

What we do not do

We do not take licensed electrical, plumbing or structural work. We coordinate with those trades, and when a project needs one we say so at the estimate rather than working around it. We do not pressure wash roofs, because pressure shortens the life of shingles. And we do not quote flooring over the phone, because the substrate decides the price and nobody can see a substrate through a phone.

We also do not add services faster than we can staff them. There is a long list of things adjacent to what we do that we could technically sell. Doing five things well across ten cities is a better business than doing fifteen things approximately.

Mission

Deliver installations that hold up in Louisiana's climate, priced honestly before the work starts and inspected together before the balance is paid.

Vision

To be the flooring and tile company that Greater New Orleans homeowners and builders call back without shopping the job again.

Values

Six rules we hold to on every job

Measure before quoting

Flatness, moisture and access get checked on site. A number given without measuring is a guess that someone pays for later.

Write it down

Scope, exclusions, timeline and payment stages in one document, so nothing important lives only in a conversation.

Show the hidden work

Waterproofing, mortar coverage and substrate prep get photographed, because they cannot be inspected after tile goes on.

Protect the space

Containment, floor protection and a tidy site at the end of every day, not only at the end of the job.

Say no clearly

If a job needs a trade we do not carry, or if the cheaper option is the right one, we say it plainly.

Finish the last ten percent

Haze removed, transitions fastened, silicone tooled, debris hauled. The details that decide how a job reads.

Differentials

Eight things that are standard here and optional elsewhere

None of these are upsells. They are in the base scope because leaving them out is what creates callbacks.

  • Free on-site estimates with a written scope you keep whether or not you hire us.
  • Slab moisture and flatness checked and recorded before flooring is priced.
  • Layouts dry-laid and approved by you before anything is permanently set.
  • Bonded shower waterproofing with a flood test, documented with a dated photo.
  • Leveling clip systems included on large-format tile rather than sold as an upgrade.
  • Soft washing for siding and wood, high pressure reserved for surfaces that can take it.
  • Three-pass post-construction cleaning, including the settling pass most quotes leave out.
  • One point of contact from the first visit through the final walkthrough.
Timeline

How a GMK project runs

  1. First contact

You describe the rooms and the timeline. We ask what the space has to keep doing while we work.

  2. Site visit

Measurements, substrate checks, photos of anything that affects price, and a look at access and parking.

  3. Scope and price

A written document: inclusions, exclusions, materials, stages, timeline and payment points.

  4. Scheduling

A start date and a deposit to hold it. Materials ordered and confirmed before the crew arrives.

  5. Work in stages

Protection, prep, installation, finishing. The site is cleaned at the end of every day.

  6. Walkthrough and handover

We inspect together, correct anything on the spot, then hand over care instructions and invoice the balance.

How a GMK job looks while it is running

Dark green wall tile going up with spacers still in place, wiring exposed and a work light hanging
Spacers still in and every rough-in left accessible until the last tile is set
Shower wall in blue-grey subway tile with a recessed niche, photographed before the pan is tiled
Niche tiled and pitched while the pan is still open
Shower walls tiled in varied beige and grey square tile with a recessed niche, before the pan is finished
Shade variation blended from several boxes so no patch reads darker
Ceiling grid and ductwork above a finished tile wainscot in a commercial space still under construction
Tile finished to the ceiling line before the grid closes the space in
