Agreement to these terms

These terms govern your use of gmkproservice.com and set out the general basis on which GMK Pro Service LLC provides estimates and services in Kenner, Louisiana and the surrounding area. By using this site you accept these terms. Work performed for you is also governed by the written scope you sign, and where the scope and these terms differ, the scope controls for that project.

What this website is

This site describes our services and provides a way to request an estimate. Content on the site, including service descriptions and articles, is general information about flooring, tile, waterproofing and cleaning practice. It is not a specification for your particular property and it is not a substitute for an on-site assessment.

Prices are not published on this site. Requesting an estimate does not create a contract, and nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance.

Estimates

Estimates are free and are provided in writing after an on-site visit. An estimate is valid for 30 days unless it states otherwise, and it is based on conditions visible at the time of the visit.

Conditions that could not be seen without demolition, such as water damage behind a shower wall, rot beneath flooring or an unlevel slab under existing tile, are not included unless the estimate says so. Where such a condition is found, we stop, show you, and price the additional work for your written approval before continuing.

Scheduling, deposits and payment

A deposit confirms your start date and covers materials. The balance is due after the walkthrough unless your scope sets out progress payments. Accepted payment methods are listed on your invoice.

Start dates depend on material availability, weather for exterior work, and the readiness of other trades on the site. We notify you the same day we learn of a change and provide a revised date.

Cancellations more than 48 hours before the start date are refunded less any materials already ordered and non-returnable. Cancellations inside 48 hours may retain the deposit to cover scheduled crew time.

Changes to the work

Any change to the agreed scope, whether requested by you or required by a condition found on site, is documented and priced before it is performed. Verbal change requests are confirmed in writing before work proceeds, which protects both sides from a dispute at invoicing.

Materials supplied by the customer

You may supply your own tile, flooring or fixtures. Where you do, we will advise the quantity to order including waste, and we ask that materials be on site and inspected before the start date.

We are not responsible for defects in customer-supplied materials, for shortages that delay a job, or for the appearance of products selected against our written recommendation. Where we advise against a material choice for a specific application, that advice will be in writing.

Workmanship warranty

Installation workmanship is warranted for one year from completion. Within that period we will correct defects in our work at no charge. The warranty covers our installation, not the materials themselves, which carry the manufacturer's own warranty.

The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, impact, movement of the building structure, water intrusion from a source outside our scope, failure to follow the care instructions provided at handover, or work altered by others after completion.

Grout, caulk and silicone are maintenance items. Their normal renewal over time is not a defect.

Exterior washing and cleaning limits

Pressure washing and soft washing improve the appearance of a surface; they do not restore a surface that is already damaged, oxidized or failing. Some stains, particularly old oil, rust and tannin, may lighten rather than disappear. Where we expect a limited result we will tell you before the work rather than after.

We select pressure and chemistry appropriate to each surface and we do not pressure wash roofs. Pre-existing conditions such as failing paint, loose mortar, damaged siding or previously etched concrete are documented before work begins where we identify them.

Post-construction cleaning is performed on finished surfaces. We are not responsible for damage caused by another trade's work, for finishes damaged before our arrival, or for residues that cannot be removed without risking the surface beneath.

Access and site conditions

You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, a working exterior water source for exterior cleaning, and electrical power where required. Vehicles, valuables, fragile items and wall-mounted decorations should be moved from the work area before we arrive unless your scope includes moving them.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Louisiana law, our total liability arising from any project is limited to the amount paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost business revenue, and this limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Intellectual property

The text, photographs, layout and design of this website belong to GMK Pro Service LLC or are used with permission. You may share links and print pages for your own use. Reproducing the content commercially, including republishing our articles or photographs, requires written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
